The Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino opened its doors on May 3rd, 1999. The casino was built on the site of the Sands Hotel, which was purchased by Sheldon Adelson in 1996, and demolished. From the rubble rose the beautiful $1.5 billion Venetian, one of the most luxurious and expensive resorts in Las Vegas.

The Orleans Hotel and Casino is a tourist destination located about a mile from the Las Vegas Strip. Although The Orleans is not located in the center of the Las Vegas tourist scene, it offers free shuttle service throughout the day and evening to the Las Vegas strip.
