The Night Owl Showroom at Hooters Hotel in Las Vegas has a mixed bag of entertainment. Music, male revues, magic, and comedy make up the shows. The comedy comes in many forms and never disappoints.
“This morning I locked my coat hanger in the car. Good thing I had my keys.” “I saw a sign at a cemetery this morning that said ‘If you were dead, you’d be home now.’” “I looked up definition in the dictionary and it said ‘this’.” These are just a few of the classic lines by comedian Geechy Guy. He has been one of the regular acts at this fine venue. Look for him to be around for a while. He’s hard to miss. His herky jerky movements and bad haircut make him funny before he ever opens his mouth. Once he gets started, hang on to your sides. They’ll be splitting.
Todd Paul is without a doubt one of the most unique jugglers and multi-taskers of our time. He gives the weather forecast while juggling apples and eating them. All at the same time. He’ll juggle anything from chainsaws to fiery violins. He does some of the most wonderful things with his glass balls and uses simple visual effects in a way that is simply genius. He uses an upbeat soundtrack to add ambiance to his show. You’ll learn a lot watching this guy. For one thing, not every man puts his pants on one leg at a time and Todd Paul can prove it. But don’t take my word for it. Go see him at the Night Owl Showroom at Hooter’s Hotel in Las Vegas!
Mickey Joseph looks as though he may be approaching the microphone to sell Amway in his shirt, tie, coat, and bald head. But you see quick enough his talent for finding humor in the strangest places. He also makes use of a little slapstick, but not to the point of overdoing it. Nothing is sacred with Mickey, not even his family. But his humor is benign and just plain entertaining! You’ll love him!
Nathan Burton, of America’s Got Talent fame, is another guest who has lit up the stage at the Night Owl Showroom. His show is always as fresh as his showgirls, and he has plenty of them. He makes use of illusion and the element of surprise in his magic. But this article is not about magic or girls. Its about comedy. And that’s what Nathan Burton is about. His shows make use of comedic barbs that entertain everyone. If you haven’t seen this guy you’re missing something.
These shows are regulars at the Night Owl Showroom at Hooter’s in Vegas. There’s just no telling what else you may experience there. Make you’re reservations well in advance. They’re hot!
